- CMS Issues Final Quality Standards For DMEPOS Suppliers
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released August 14 its final quality standards for suppliers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, supplies, (DMEPOS) and other items and services under the Medicare program. The standards have been scaled-back substantially from the draft version issued in September 2005, thereby reducing the standards document from 104 pages to fourteen pages.
