Jerome Groopman is a top AIDS cancer researcher and clinician, but more to the point, he's a gifted writer of
clinical narratives and other essays for
The New Yorker. His first two books provided the inspiration for the short-lived TV series,
Gideon's Crossing. His latest book,
The Anatomy of Hope, is a good read. And he's
profiled in today's
NY Times.
